UNDER 18’s INSTRUCTING ACTIVITY SESSIONS

activity. After being assessed competent they will be monitored regularly.

3. Poor decision making / Lack of group

control due to stressful situation.

Major injury Under 18’s will not work with groups that have behavioural issues without a

competent adult instructor.

5. Legislation The law states that young people aged between 16-18:

 Must not work more than 8 hours a day

 Must not work more than 40 hours a week

 Must have 12 hours rest between each working day.

 Must have 2 rest days per working week.

 Are entitled to a 30 minute rest period when they work longer than 4 and

a half hours.
